Our Alaska fly fishing lodge will be turning twenty years old this year. We have been on the Alagnak River in Bristol bay for a long time. We originally started out taking only six guests a week, targeting Alaska salmon and trout on the fly all summer long. We eventually moved up our capacity to take ten guests in ninety five. Well, there have been a lot of changes over the years to the lodge, but we still only take ten guests a week and we have only added to the comfort level of our guests. There is a reason we have an eighty to ninety percent return rate of guests at our Alaska fly fishing lodge. Our fishing program, and our food and hospitality are second to none in the industry. This coupled with sitting right on one of the best salmon rivers in the world, is a reason for our success.
There are Alaska lodges that come and go, ones that take 20 plus people a week, and ones that stay the course like ourselves. We feel that we have a great niche in the Alaska fly fishing lodge industry. Our remote location, great food, great hospitality, and unbelievable numbers of salmon and trout caught on the fly per rod every summer is truly amazing. Several of our guests have fished all over the world, and all over the state of Alaska. One thing is common amongst them all, and that is that they choose to come back to our lodge instead of going somewhere else. In the lodge industry, our Alaska lodge rates amongst the highest with our return rate. This rate alone should speak volumes to who we are and how we operate.
I hope that all this information will make choosing a trip to Alaska an easy one. I know that we are not the right lodge for all anglers seeking an Alaskan fly fishing trip to Alaska. But we are the right choice if what you want is great camaraderie in a small group, unbelievable numbers of salmon daily on the fly, great food always home made, and a staff to guest ratio of nine to ten. Our Alaska guided fishing program is very strong with a combined number of years guiding in Alaska over seventy five years!
