Our Alaska fly fishing lodge started out in the early 90’s, taking only 6 guests per week.  I came on board the second year of operation, and was blown away at the numbers of salmon that could be caught on the Alagnak River.  As a head guide from a Colorado fly fishing shop, it took about a few hours of fishing to realize that catching salmon on the fly could not get any better anywhere in the world!  I felt that this Alaska fly fishing lodge was sitting on one of the best possible locations you could ever dream of.   If targeting fresh dime bright salmon the moment they re-enter the river still in their aggressive feeding patterns is what you want, there really is no better Alaska fly fishing lodge location.

We book only twelve guests per week at our Alaska lodge and fish two guests to each of our six guides.  We have seven boats available at our dock, including a jet boat.  You will fish all seven days of your stay with our Alaska lodge, including the day you arrive.  The regular schedule is for nine hours of guided fishing daily.  If you need more, we are happy to take you fishing after dinner.  Unlike other Alaska lodges, we let you decide how much you want to fish at Angler’s Alibi!

Our brief season at our Alaska fly fishing lodge from early July to late August matches the peak of the salmon run and the fly-out fishing that Bristol Bay area offers.  We will help you decide which week matches the part of the salmon run you will enjoy the most.  Our 80% guest return with rate limits availability.   This return rate should speak volumes in not only our quality of fishing, but also our level of customer service.  We have been in business for 20 years now and always try and exceed our guests’ expectations.  It is this model of customer service that has made our Alaska fly fishing lodge what it is today!
