The Alagnak River is known in Alaska as being one of the best salmon and trout rivers in the state. The Alagnak River actually flows from two major lakes, the Nonvianuk and Kukaklek lakes. These two lakes and their tributaries are known for their Alaska trophy trout fishing. Part of why these tributaries support a great population of Alaska trophy trout is due in part to the million plus sockeye that swim past our Alaska fly fishing lodge every day starting June 29th through about July 15.
